John and Susan’s wedding gallery is set in Sirmione, Italy. A stone statue against dense greenery gives the surroundings their own place in the photographs.
Look beyond couple portraits when choosing references for your own gallery: architecture and landscape can help show where the celebration took place.
A dark boat crosses the water beneath a pale sky, with distant hills along the horizon.
The wide space around it makes this a useful reference for photographs that include the setting without filling every part of the frame.
The groom stands on a stone terrace in a dark suit, framed by urns, a balustrade and tall trees.
His full-length portrait shows both his clothes and the surrounding architecture. Save it if that balance matters in your own photography brief.
