Yuliia Zablotska: Bridal Hairstylist and Educator

Bridal portraits might look effortless, but the morning leading up to them requires a solid plan. Between final dress fittings, wrangling your bridal party, and managing the clock, the getting-ready hours can easily become the most stressful part of the day if the logistics aren’t clear. This guide breaks down exactly what to ask a hairstylist to keep your morning running smoothly. We’ll also introduce a trusted Dreamwood vendor Yuliia Zablotska, a talented bridal hairstylist and educator based in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.

Bridal Hair Services and Styling Scope

Not every hairstylist offers the same services, and it is worth clarifying what is actually included in your booking. Yuliia Zablotska specializes in bridal hair, with a portfolio that covers classic, glamorous, natural, and romantic styles. Her services include updos, styling for short hair, hair extension application, and styling with extensions. She also offers hair accessories and works with all hair types, including natural Black hair.

What about the rest of your party? Yuliia offers children’s services and styling for guests, and she works with a team of additional stylists who can accommodate larger groups. She also works with makeup artists, so you can book both services in one place. But confirm the exact scope of your booking, as makeup is not automatically included in every hair package.

Hair Inspiration, Trial and Preparation

Bring your inspiration photos to the consultation, keeping an open mind about how they will translate to your specific hair type. Yuliia’s portfolio showcases a wide range of styles, and her clients frequently share that she successfully brings their Pinterest or social media inspiration to life. In fact, some brides feel so confident in her work after reviewing her online portfolio that they choose to skip a trial altogether. While not mandatory, a trial run is highly recommended. All trials take place at her studio in Newtown Square, PA. Use this time to discuss your hair length, natural texture, and any extensions you plan to wear. You can also ask how to prep your hair beforehand  — like whether to wash it the night before or bring your accessories for a test placement. Finally, confirm whether the trial is included in your wedding package or needs to be booked separately.

Wedding Morning Schedule and Party Size

Your morning timeline depends on how many people are being styled. Yuliia allocates about 45 minutes for each style, with one hour reserved for the bride. She also builds in 15 minutes for setup upon arrival and 15 minutes for final touch-ups before you get dressed.

When you book, clarify the minimum number of services. Yuliia’s standard bookings have a five-service minimum (a bride plus four others), though smaller weddings may be accommodated during the week. She can bring additional stylists for larger parties, so confirm how many people you need and whether an assistant will be assigned to your group.

Your photo/video team should also know the getting-ready timeline and how many people are being styled, so they can plan detail shots and portraits without rushing the morning. Share the schedule with your photographer and videographer once it is confirmed.

Travel, Location and On-Site Arrangements

Yuliia is based in Newtown Square, PA, and travels to venues for wedding-day styling. Her packages include travel up to one hour from her base, and longer distances may require an additional fee. Confirm the exact travel range for your venue and whether early-start times affect the schedule or cost.

On the wedding day, your stylist needs a workspace with access to electricity, natural light if possible, and enough room for her tools and a chair. Ask your venue or getting-ready location about the setup: Is there a designated area for hair and makeup? Are there mirrors and outlets? If you are getting ready at a hotel, confirm whether the suite has enough space for the stylist’s team.

Your photo/video team should also know the stylist’s travel range and early-start conditions, so getting-ready coverage and timeline planning stay realistic.

Hair Touch-Ups and Photo Timing

A bridal hairstyle needs to last through the ceremony, portraits, dinner, and dancing. Yuliia includes final touch-ups before you get dressed, and she offers hourly touch-up services for events that run long or require a style change. Ask whether on-site support during the reception is included or available as an add-on.

Coordinate the timing with your photographer. You want your hair to be portrait-ready before your first look or couple’s portraits begin. If you plan to change your hairstyle between the ceremony and reception, confirm whether that change is included and how much time it requires.

Your photo/video team should also know when the hairstyle will be portrait-ready and whether touch-ups are included, so getting-ready coverage and portrait windows stay on schedule.
